The college freshman finally welcomed viewers into the private space she now calls home, revealing a polished retreat with personal touches, icy modern decor, and one feature nobody expected to find in Miami.
Kai Trump, 19, shared her first apartment tour on September 5, 2026, after beginning college at the University of Miami and settling into life as a Division I golfer.
Her Freshman Schedule Leaves Little Time for Miami Parties
Kai's apartment tour was posted on her personal YouTube channel and began with a glimpse at the demanding routine unfolding beyond her front door.
She had already completed six golf qualifiers, battled strep throat and a sinus infection simultaneously, and suspected that some unfortunate sushi had given her food poisoning the night before filming.
Still, she sounded completely smitten with her choice of school. "I love University of Miami. It's a great college," she said.
AdvertisI feel like I haven't really explored Miami yet because I'm so busy with the golf and stuff like that," she explained. "But I'm here for golf; I'm not here to party in Miami, so I guess it's okay."
The beach may be waiting, but golf clearly has first claim on this freshman's calendar. After practice, classes, and lunch with teammates, Kai finally returned home and opened the door viewers had been eager to peek through.

The Coolest Feature Was Hiding Beneath Her Television
The apartment immediately opened into a sleek white kitchen, which Kai declared her favorite area "'cuz I eat a lot." Glossy tiled floors and crisp walls gave the room an immaculate, airy appearance, while dark wood-grain cabinetry provided a stylish contrast.

A New York City painting had also found a place in the apartment, although Kai readily credited Emma Markin, her best friend, with hanging that one. Together, the pictures gave the cool-toned home a little personality without disturbing its clean, uncluttered mood.
Then came the feature that viewers could hardly ignore: a faux fireplace in Miami.
Mounted above a long white media console, the flat-screen television hung over her electric fireplace unit with purple neon-style lighting glowing underneath. It was undeniably cozy, slightly nightclub-ish, and gloriously unnecessary in South Florida, which frankly made it even more fun.
Kai considered it the standout feature herself. "Then we got my fireplace, which is like, I think, the coolest part of this," she said.

Her YouTube play button celebrating 100,000 subscribers was displayed nearby, adding a reminder that college golf is only one part of Kai's increasingly public life.

The apartment also contains an office where she completes her homework. Among its most personal details was a photograph of Kai with her grandfather, Donald Trump, at a golf course.

Her bedroom continued the clean, almost entirely white palette. A large upholstered platform bed and headboard anchored the room, accompanied by matching nightstands, soft lamps, simple artwork, and gleaming pale floors.

The bathroom followed the same contemporary look, pairing a floating dark wood vanity with a white countertop and undermount sink. A wall-spanning frameless mirror, glass-partitioned tub and shower area, and dark bath mats made it feel like a modern hotel suite.

Kai also showed the guest bathroom, closet, and additional rooms, revealing that she does not live in a dorm like many other first-year students. "I'm very, very lucky to have this obviously as a freshman, but I'm very lucky I have this apartment," she said. "It's amazing."

For someone whose days are filled almost from sunrise to bedtime, the privacy seems to be the apartment's greatest luxury. "It's really nice coming home to no one, and after a long day on the golf course, it's always nice to just chill here and do nothing."
Viewers Had Blunt Opinions About That Miami Fireplace
The reveal inspired a distinctly mixed response on X. Some people saw a standard modern rental, while others were amused that the billionaire's granddaughter had chosen something far less extravagant than they expected.

One person dismissed the decor entirely, writing, "This is the most basic Miami apartment ever." The electric centerpiece immediately drew a wonderfully practical question from somebody familiar with Florida's climate: "She has a fireplace in Miami?"

Another commenter thought the home appeared comparatively restrained beside the elaborate dorm makeovers frequently shared online. "Honestly it doesn’t see that over the top compared to some of these dorm rooms parents are spending thousands to decorate [sic]."

Someone else was similarly unmoved by the luxury label, declaring, "This isn’t luxury. yes it’s comfortable but nothing crazy [sic]." One person echoed, "That is the most normal apartment I have ever seen for a billionaires granddaughter lmfao [sic]."
Another agreed that the apartment looked considerably more ordinary than expected: "Bro this is an average apartment. This isn’t luxury. She’s living below her standard."

Whatever label viewers prefer, Kai clearly adores her new home. It gives her enough space to study, prepare for tournaments, display meaningful photographs, and recover from a schedule that would make many freshmen dive straight beneath that pristine white comforter.

The cheerful tour also showed just how far she had come emotionally in only a matter of days. On August 29, Kai shared a video where she had a much more vulnerable moment while preparing to leave Jupiter and move to Miami full-time.

"This is the next chapter, and I'm moving on, and I'm excited," she said. Yet that excitement did not make saying goodbye to her friends and family any easier.
While alone in her car, Kai admitted that the separation had overwhelmed her. "I've been, like, literally sobbing," she said, adding, "This is, like, really weird for me to cry."

Miami is close enough for visits, and Kai has already returned to Jupiter several times for golf and family commitments. Even so, moving into her own apartment represented a major change for the young adult.

Now, the tears have given way to early practices, new friends, travel gear, and a private home she can retreat to after each exhausting day. It may be "basic" by billionaire standards, but with its glowing fireplace, snowy Aspen print, and gleaming white bedroom, Kai's first apartment looks awesome!
While the two-bedroom, two-bathroom home is far removed from the typical freshman dorm, its surprisingly restrained appearance left viewers debating whether it looked luxurious, ordinary, or somehow a little of both.
